Fish for Trophy Striped Bass
Trophy rockfish season on the Chesapeake Bay starts in May. During this time, anglers are targeting large striped bass 35 inches and over. While trolling prime fishing locations on the Chesapeake Bay, Captain joe will put you on some of the largest keeper bass in the bay. Using an assortment of heavy tackle, customers on our charters rotate through the catch and many times we have multiple hookups creating the ultimate challenge. Our 46ft fiberglass deadrise can handle large groups. Striped bass limits during trophy season are one per angler and these fish are big! Our mate forks for tips and will clean each fish a the dock and prep for cooking.
Captain Joe and his mate have a lifetime of fishing experience in the Chesapeake Bay. They have won and placed in major tournaments and have a repeated success on the bay during trophy season. Both Captain Joe and his first mate are USCG-licensed captains and Maryland licensed fishing guides. Feel safe knowing that they will find the best areas to troll the bay for an epic fishing experience.
During this time of year the Locator charter boat fishes the mid-Chesapeake Bay areas from Baltimore, Rock Hall north to Annapolis, and points south. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge areas are within a short 30-minute ride and are some of the best fishing areas on the Chesapeake Bay.
